How Does Bullying Affect Students Academically?

From an article titled, "Victims of bullying suffer academically as well UCLA Psychologists report," a study was done with 2,300 students in 11 public middle schools in Los Angeles. In this study, students were asked to answer questions on a level of 1-4 on the scale of being bullied. Here's the results:

-Students who are bullied do worse in school.

-Bullying and having low achievements in school are linked together.

-Students who are bullied lose interest in school, skip multiple times, and usually have a negative outlook on school.

-Many students don't participate in class in fear that they will be made fun of because of their answer.

It's sad how some students can feel this way, here's the link if you wanted to read more about this.
